I was delighted to see you on Wednesday, October 4th, at the San Francisco Church square, Plaza de Armas in Cajamarca (Peru), for the premiere of “Yuragachi.”
This piece, a preview of the major project “Yuragachi Cajamarca Illuminada,” was projected from October 4th to 8th starting at 8:00 PM. A first, short work, it retraces ancestral pre-Inca origins to the Inca Atahualpa and the conquistador Pizarro, while offering a first glimpse into the popular Cajamarcan traditions of carnival and bullfighting.
A project dedicated to the people of Cajamarca and all visitors to this stunning region of the Northern Andes. What a joy to see so many of you there!
I was so happy to share these moments of pure bliss and intense joy with the entire @yuragachi team and all the thousands of Cajamarquinos who came to see my work at the San Francisco Church. ✨
